     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Rifle Brigade.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG, in 1948 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He lived in 2003 at 21 via Udine, Trieste, ItalyG.1
