     Charles Findlater was born on 27 January 1799.¹ He was the son of John Findlater and Janet Dempster.² He died on 24 December 1816 at age 17.¹

     John Findlater was born on 3 May 1802.¹ He was the son of John Findlater and Janet Dempster.² He married Mary Anne Hughes in May 1827.¹ He died on 27 March 1836 at age 33, drowned in the shipwreck of brig James Laurie (which he commanded) off Nassau, Bahamas.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Merchant Navy.¹

     Helen Findlater was born on 6 July 1790.¹ She was the daughter of John Findlater and Janet Dempster.² She married Robert Corscaden in 1821.¹ She died on 29 July 1878 at age 88.¹
     From 1821, her married name became Corscaden.
