Maj.-Gen. James Sebastian Rawlins was born on 8 March 1823 at Staplegrove, Somerset, England.3 He was the son of Henry William Rawlins and Eliza Nash.2 He married Emma Augusta Wilmot Parke, daughter of Major George Thomas Parke, in 1854 at Bath, Somerset, England.3 He died in 1905.3 He was buried at Weston Cemetery, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England.2
He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.4 He was educated at Addiscombe Military Academy, Addiscombe, Surrey, England.4 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.)4 He was commanding officer of the 1st Goorkha Regiment.4 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)4 He gained the rank of Major-General in the Bengal Staff Corps.1 He lived at Lona, Ellenborough Park, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England.2

Mary Adelaide Rawlins1 
Mary Adelaide Rawlins was born on 2 August 1850 at Mussoorie, Bengal, India.3 She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Sebastian Rawlins and Emma Augusta Wilmot Parke.4,3 She married Colonel Edward Eustace, son of Hardy Eustace and Bridget Anne Browne, on 21 July 1894.1 She died on 18 January 1947 at age 96.1
From 21 July 1894, her married name became Eustace.
