     James Guthrie lived at Hawick, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Margaret Compton Guthrie is the daughter of James Guthrie.² She married Dr. John Myles Crowdy Bowen, son of Commander Harold Townsend Bowen and Cicely Frances Anne Cooper, on 7 January 1961.¹
     From 7 January 1961, her married name became Bowen.

     Frances Belinda Bowen was born on 26 February 1963.¹ She is the daughter of Dr. John Myles Crowdy Bowen and Margaret Compton Guthrie.²

     Joanna Marion Bowen was born on 1 December 1964.¹ She is the daughter of Dr. John Myles Crowdy Bowen and Margaret Compton Guthrie.²

     Jennifer Isabel Bowen was born on 19 January 1967.¹ She is the daughter of Dr. John Myles Crowdy Bowen and Margaret Compton Guthrie.²

     Brig.-Gen. Richard Joshua Cooper was born on 18 July 1860.¹ He was the son of Col. Rt. Hon. Edward Henry Cooper and Charlotte Maria Mills.² He married Constance Mary Grant-Thorold, daughter of Alexander William Thorold Grant-Thorold and Anna Hamilton Stirling, on 17 December 1904.¹ He died on 13 May 1938 at age 77, without issue.¹
     He was commissioned in 1880, in the service of the Coldstream Guards.¹ He fought in the Egyptian Campaign in 1882.¹ He fought in the Battle of Tel-el-Kebir.¹ He gained the rank of officer in 1900 in the Irish Guards.¹ He fought in the Boer War in 1900, as a Railway Staff Officer.¹ He was Private Secretary to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland between 1904 and 1905.¹ He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1909.¹ He held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1912 and 1919, for North Islington.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was commander of the 29th Infantry Brigade in 1915.¹ He fought in the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1917.¹ He gained the rank of Brigadier-General.¹ He held the office of Member of the London County Council between 1919 and 1925, for St George Hanover Square.¹ He lived at Blackwell Hall, Buckinghamshire, England^G.¹

     Arthur Charles Cooper was born on 28 May 1864.¹ He was the son of Col. Rt. Hon. Edward Henry Cooper and Charlotte Maria Mills.² He died on 1 October 1921 at age 57, unmarried.¹

     Kathleen Emily Cooper was born in October 1861.¹ She was the daughter of Col. Rt. Hon. Edward Henry Cooper and Charlotte Maria Mills.² She died on 15 May 1941 at age 79, unmarried.¹

     Florence Lucy Cooper was born on 28 May 1864.¹ She was the daughter of Col. Rt. Hon. Edward Henry Cooper and Charlotte Maria Mills.² She died on 31 July 1948 at age 84, unmarried.¹
