Wilts [U.K., 1838] on 30 October 1932.2 He was trustee of the National Gallery between 1938 and 1945.2 He was trustee of the Tate Gallery between 1940 and 1945.2 He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1945.2 He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour in 1945.2 He wrote the book Normandy Diary, published 1952.2 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)2 He was a painter and zoologist.2
