     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Cheshire Regiment.¹

     Olive Sydney Garnett is the daughter of Reverend Lionel Garnett.² She married Lt.-Col. Marshal Falconer Clarke, son of Marshal Neville Clarke and Mary Elizabeth Pearson, on 12 April 1910.¹
     From 12 April 1910, her married name became Clarke. She lived in 1976 at Treble Hill, Glasbury, Herefordshire, England^G.¹

     Lt.-Col. Ralph Lionel Clarke was born on 23 September 1917.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. Marshal Falconer Clarke and Olive Sydney Garnett.³ He married Elizabeth Mary Whitehead, daughter of Sydney Dean Whitehead, on 28 January 1943.¹ He died in December 1998 at age 81 at Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England.²

     Robert Whitehead Marshal Clarke was born on 1 August 1947.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Ralph Lionel Clarke and Elizabeth Mary Whitehead.² He married Anne Phyllida Taylor, daughter of James Taylor, on 19 October 1968.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1969 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He lived in 1976 at Pottlerath House, Kilmanagh, County Kilkenny, Ireland^G.¹
