     Mary Amelia Jervois was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. John Jervois.² She married, firstly, Charles Carrington Hensley before 1913.¹ She married, secondly, Commander Richard Clayton Carew, son of Robert Thomas Carew and Henrietta Browne-Clayton, on 10 June 1913.¹ She died on 31 March 1948.¹
     From before 1913, her married name became Hensley.¹ From 10 June 1913, her married name became Carew.

     Ponsonby May Lynn Carew was born on 13 April 1865.¹ He was the son of Robert Thomas Carew and Henrietta Browne-Clayton.² He married, firstly, Jane Stacey, daughter of Reverend Cyril Stacey, on 9 June 1894.¹ He married, secondly, Vida Hope Carmichael Story, daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Story, on 6 January 1910.² He married, thirdly, Rachel Gresson, daughter of Major William Henry Gresson, in February 1928.² He died on 24 May 1934 at age 69.²
     He gained the rank of Major in the 20th Hussars and Royal Warwickshire Regiment.¹

     Mary Gladys Carew was born on 11 November 1895.¹ She was the daughter of Ponsonby May Lynn Carew and Jane Stacey.^2,1 She died on 2 April 1971 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     She was with Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service during the Second World War.¹ She was registered as a State Registered Nurse (S.R.N.)¹

     Lt.-Col. Robert Story lived at Bingfield, County Cavan, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Vida Hope Carmichael Story was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Robert Story.² She married Ponsonby May Lynn Carew, son of Robert Thomas Carew and Henrietta Browne-Clayton, on 6 January 1910.¹ She died on 19 June 1926.¹
     From 6 January 1910, her married name became Carew.

     Caroline Joyce Carew was born on 8 May 1912.¹ She is the daughter of Ponsonby May Lynn Carew and Vida Hope Carmichael Story.²
     She graduated from Girton College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, in 1935 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ She was the Headmistress between 1953 and 1963 at St. Cyprian’s School, Cape Town, Cape Province, South Africa^G.¹ She was the Headmistress between 1963 and 1968 at St. Anne’s Diocesan College, Natal, South Africa^G.² She lived in 1976 at 4 Grange Court, Shore Road, Bonchurch, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, England^G.¹

     Devatha Joan Carew was born on 1 December 1914.¹ She is the daughter of Ponsonby May Lynn Carew and Vida Hope Carmichael Story.²
     She lived in 1976 at Pietermaritzburg, Natal, South Africa^G.¹

     Major William Henry Gresson lived at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹

     Rachel Gresson was the daughter of Major William Henry Gresson.² She married Ponsonby May Lynn Carew, son of Robert Thomas Carew and Henrietta Browne-Clayton, in February 1928.¹ She died on 28 October 1950.¹
     From February 1928, her married name became Carew.
