     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of in the 6th Service Battalion Leicester Regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He was Field Officer with the Land Drainage Department.¹

     Winifred Gilligan was the daughter of Martin Gilligan.² She married Arthur St. George Burdett, son of Arthur Hugo Florian de Burdet Burdett and Henrietta Maude St. George, in 1919.¹ She died on 19 January 1954.¹

     He was educated at Bentham Grammar School, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in the Royal Air Force.¹ He was Sales Manager for Ayred Bird & Company (I) Ltd.¹ He lived in 1976 at 45 Arnold Grove, Glenapary, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹

     Commander John Magnus Hurrie Garrioch was born on 9 April 1896 at Bombay, India.² He was the son of William Gilbert Garrioch and Julia Elizabeth Boileau.² He married Marion Conway Baird, daughter of Walter Baird and Jessie McHutchison, on 7 August 1918 at Presbyterian Parish Church, Monkstown, County Dublin, Ireland.² He died on 7 May 1958 at age 62 at Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland.²
     He lived at Wyvernette, Killiney Hill Road, Killiney, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.² He gained the rank of Commander in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.²

     Janet Elizabeth Marian Garrioch is the daughter of Commander John Magnus Hurrie Garrioch and Marion Conway Baird.^2,3 She married John Arthur Hugo Burdett, son of Arthur St. George Burdett and Winifred Gilligan, on 27 July 1948.¹
     From 27 July 1948, her married name became Burdett.
