     Captain Henry Arthur Bruen was born on 26 August 1887.¹ He was the son of Henry Bruen and Agnes Mary MacMorrough Kavanagh.² He married Jane Catherine Gladys McClintock, daughter of Arthur George Florence McClintock and Susan Heywood-Collins, on 13 June 1913.¹ He died on 12 November 1954 at age 67.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 15th Hussars.¹ He lived at Oak Park, County Carlow, Ireland^G.¹

     Esther Heard is the daughter of John Heard.¹ She married Joseph Bullen, son of William Bullen and Christian Barter, in 1792.¹
     From 1792, her married name became Bullen.¹

     Jane Catherine Gladys McClintock was born in 1885.² She was the daughter of Arthur George Florence McClintock and Susan Heywood-Collins.^3,2 She married Captain Henry Arthur Bruen, son of Henry Bruen and Agnes Mary MacMorrough Kavanagh, on 13 June 1913.¹
     Jane Catherine Gladys McClintock usually went by her middle name of Gladys.¹ From 13 June 1913, her married name became Bruen.

     Lt.-Col. Edward James Augustus Howard Brush was born on 5 March 1901 at Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland.^1,2 He was the son of Major George Howard Brush and May Florence Farrell.³ He married Susan Mary Torbett, daughter of Major Francis Herbert English Torbett and Ethel Maria Thackwell, on 30 March 1937.¹ He died on 22 July 1984 at age 83 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.²
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England^G.¹ He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1945.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1946.¹ He retired from the military in 1946, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the The Rifle Brigade.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Down in 1953.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Down between 1953 and 1974.¹ He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of County Down between 1957 and 1962.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Down in 1960.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1966.¹ He was member of the Irish National Hunt Committee.¹ He lived in 1976 at Drumnabreeze, County Down, Ireland^G.¹

     Major William de Wilton Roche Thackwell was born circa 1828 at Rye Court, Worcestershire, England.² He was the son of Sir Joseph Thackwell and Maria Audriah Roche.² He married Charlotte Tomkinson on 29 June 1864 at St. Thomas, St. Marylebone, London, England.²
     He lived at Aghada Hall, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹ He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)¹

     Susan Mary Torbett is the daughter of Major Francis Herbert English Torbett and Ethel Maria Thackwell.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Edward James Augustus Howard Brush, son of Major George Howard Brush and May Florence Farrell, on 30 March 1937.¹
     From 30 March 1937, her married name became Brush.

     Maureen Rosemary Brush was born on 10 April 1940.¹ She is the daughter of Lt.-Col. Edward James Augustus Howard Brush and Susan Mary Torbett.² She married Simon David Humphry Gray, son of David Gray, on 9 October 1965.¹
     She graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1961 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ From 9 October 1965, her married name became Gray.¹

     Simon David Humphry Gray is the son of David Gray.¹ He married Maureen Rosemary Brush, daughter of Lt.-Col. Edward James Augustus Howard Brush and Susan Mary Torbett, on 9 October 1965.¹

     Alison Veronica Gray was born on 24 July 1966.¹ She is the daughter of Simon David Humphry Gray and Maureen Rosemary Brush.²

     Rosalind Mary Gray was born on 18 October 1969.¹ She is the daughter of Simon David Humphry Gray and Maureen Rosemary Brush.²
