     He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)² He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He suffered from Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.)¹ He was President of the Medical Board, India Office.¹ He was Honorary Physician to HM Queen Victoria.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Star of India (K.C.S.I.)¹ He was created 1st Baronet Fayrer, of Devonshire Street, St. Marylebone [U.K.] on 7 February 1896.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons (F.R.C.S.)¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians, London (F.R.C.P.)¹ He gained the rank of Surgeon-General in the Army.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.)¹ He was Honorary Physician and Physician Extraordinary to HM King Edward VII.¹

     Archibald Livingston is the son of Sir John Livingston of Callendar and Agnes Douglas.¹

     Bethia Mary Spens was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Andrew Spens and Diana Diggle.² She married Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt., son of Commander Robert John Fayrer and Agnes Wilkinson, on 4 October 1855.¹ She died on 12 May 1916.¹
     From 4 October 1855, her married name became Fayrer.

     Robert Andrew Fayrer was born on 27 June 1856.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens.² He died on 28 December 1904 at age 48, unmarried.¹
     He was Secretary to the Indian Midland Railway Company.¹

     Joseph Henry Spens Fayrer was born on 9 December 1857.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens.² He died on 11 December 1857.¹

     Lt.-Col. Sir Joseph Fayrer, 2nd Bt. was born on 8 March 1859.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens.² He married Ella Mayhew, daughter of Colonel William Augustin John Mayhew, on 30 December 1890.¹ He died on 13 April 1937 at age 78.¹

     Lt.-Col. James Outram Spens Fayrer was born on 20 February 1861.¹ He was the son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens.² He married Katharine Steward, daughter of Frederick Steward, on 31 August 1892.¹ He died on 15 October 1918 at age 57.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 5th Gurkha Rifle Regiment, Indian Army.¹

     Katharine Steward was born circa 1870.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick Steward.² She married Lt.-Col. James Outram Spens Fayrer, son of Sir Joseph Fayrer, 1st Bt. and Bethia Mary Spens, on 31 August 1892.¹ She died on 11 September 1959.¹
     From 31 August 1892, her married name became Fayrer.

     Joseph Steward Fayrer was born on 30 April 1897.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. James Outram Spens Fayrer and Katharine Steward.² He died on 21 January 1916 at age 18, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of in the 2nd/37th Dogras, Indian Army.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹
