     Norman Victor Leslie-Melville was born on 30 May 1896.¹ He was the son of Galfrid John Leslie-Melville and Nora French Stead.² He married Dorothea Stead, daughter of Walter Stead, on 15 August 1918.¹ He died on 7 January 1974 at age 77.¹
     Norman Victor Leslie-Melville usually went by his middle name of Victor.¹ He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Scots, Special Reserves.¹ He gained the rank of Second World War.¹

     Dorothea Stead was the daughter of Walter Stead.² She married Norman Victor Leslie-Melville, son of Galfrid John Leslie-Melville and Nora French Stead, on 15 August 1918.¹ She died in 1982.¹
     From 15 August 1918, her married name became Leslie-Melville.

     Xenia Winifred Leslie-Melville was born on 18 May 1919.¹ She was the daughter of Norman Victor Leslie-Melville and Dorothea Stead.² She married John Michael Richmond Paton, son of Edward Richmond Paton, on 28 September 1939.¹ She died on 12 August 1984 at age 65.¹
     From 28 September 1939, her married name became Paton.

     John Michael Richmond Paton is the son of Edward Richmond Paton.² He married Xenia Winifred Leslie-Melville, daughter of Norman Victor Leslie-Melville and Dorothea Stead, on 28 September 1939.¹
     He lived at Hay Park, Stow, Scotland^G.²

     Alasdair Donald Paton was born on 14 September 1952.¹ He is the son of John Michael Richmond Paton and Xenia Winifred Leslie-Melville.²
     He was educated at Gordonstoun School, Elgin, Morayshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Frances Dorothea Paton was born on 30 March 1948.¹ She is the daughter of John Michael Richmond Paton and Xenia Winifred Leslie-Melville.² She married Harold Abbott on 25 May 1968.¹
     From 25 May 1968, her married name became Abbott.
