     Richard FitzGerald, 3rd Earl of Kildare was born circa 1319.1 He was the son of Thomas FitzJohn FitzGerald, 2nd Earl of Kildare and Lady Joan de Burgh.1 He died on 7 July 1333, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Earl of Kildare [I., 1316] on 9 April 1328.1

     Gerald FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 5th Earl of Kildare was the son of Maurice FitzThomas FitzGerald, 4th Earl of Kildare and Elizabeth Burghersh.1 He married, firstly, Margaret de Rocheforte, daughter of Sir John de Rocheforte and Marjorie Berford, circa 1381.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Darcy, daughter of Philip Darcy, 4th Lord Darcy de Knayth and Elizabeth Gray, before 18 November 1397.1 He died on 16 October 1432.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Kildare [I., 1316] on 15 August 1390.1 He held the office of Justiciar of Ireland in 1405.1

     Margaret de Rocheforte is the daughter of Sir John de Rocheforte and Marjorie Berford.1,2 She married Gerald FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 5th Earl of Kildare, son of Maurice FitzThomas FitzGerald, 4th Earl of Kildare and Elizabeth Burghersh, circa 1381.1
     From circa 1381, her married name became FitzGerald.1 After her marriage, Margaret de Rocheforte was styled as Countess of Kildare on 15 August 1390.

     Lady Joan FitzGerald was the daughter of Gerald FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 5th Earl of Kildare and Margaret de Rocheforte.1 She married, firstly, Jenico Grey.1 She married, secondly, James Butler, 4th Earl of Ormonde, son of James Butler, 3rd Earl of Ormonde and Anne de Welles, in 1432.1 She died in July 1452, without issue.1
     Her married name became Grey.1 From 1432, her married name became Butler.1 After her marriage, Lady Joan FitzGerald was styled as Countess of Ormonde in 1432.

     Agnes Darcy was the daughter of Philip Darcy, 4th Lord Darcy de Knayth and Elizabeth Gray.1 She married, firstly, Sir Brian Cokeshay before 1396.1 She married, secondly, Gerald FitzMaurice FitzGerald, 5th Earl of Kildare, son of Maurice FitzThomas FitzGerald, 4th Earl of Kildare and Elizabeth Burghersh, before 18 November 1397.1 She died on 29 September 1439.1
     From before 1396, her married name became Cokeshay.1 From before 18 November 1397, her married name became FitzGerald.1 After her marriage, Agnes Darcy was styled as Countess of Kildare.
