     From 3 July 1900, her married name became Gorges.

     Brig.-Gen. Edmond Howard Gorges married Sylvia Rosalie Townsend, daughter of Major Henry FitzJohn Townsend and Mary Caroline Bushe, on 3 July 1900.¹ He and Sylvia Rosalie Townsend were divorced in 1921.² He died in April 1935.²
