     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He lived at Malmaison, Castletownshend, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverend Philip Homan lived at Surock, County Westmeath, Ireland^G.¹

     Anne Homan was the daughter of Reverend Philip Homan.² She married Henry Owen Becher Townsend, son of John Townsend and Mary Morris.¹ She died in September 1817.¹
     Her married name became Townsend.

     John FitzHenry Townsend was baptised on 1 January 1811.¹ He was the son of Henry Owen Becher Townsend and Anne Homan.² He married Ellen Armstrong, daughter of Reverend George Armstrong, on 24 March 1840.¹ He died on 2 February 1893 at age 82.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1829 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Irish Bar in 1834.¹ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G, in 1847.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He held the office of Judge of the Admiralty Court [Ireland] in 1867.¹ He lived at Seafield, Castletownshend, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Reverend George Armstrong lived at County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Ellen Armstrong was the daughter of Reverend George Armstrong.² She married John FitzHenry Townsend, son of Henry Owen Becher Townsend and Anne Homan, on 24 March 1840.¹ She died on 21 April 1878.¹
     From 24 March 1840, her married name became Townsend.

     Major Henry FitzJohn Townsend was born on 18 February 1841.¹ He was the son of John FitzHenry Townsend and Ellen Armstrong.² He married, firstly, Mary Caroline Bushe, daughter of Arthur Bushe, on 15 November 1870.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Martin, daughter of Richard James Martin, on 27 September 1900.²
     He gained the rank of officer in the 26th Regiment Cameronians.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the 4th Battalion, Scottish Rifles.¹ He lived at Seafield, Castletownshend, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹

     Arthur Bushe held the office of Master of the Queen’s Bench.¹

     Mary Caroline Bushe was the daughter of Arthur Bushe.² She married Major Henry FitzJohn Townsend, son of John FitzHenry Townsend and Ellen Armstrong, on 15 November 1870.¹ She died on 21 February 1890.¹
     From 15 November 1870, her married name became Townsend.
