     Thomas John Franks was born on 17 November 1831.² He was the son of John Franks and Eleanora Whitmore.² He married, firstly, Clara Kettle, daughter of George McKenzie Kettle, on 25 April 1865.² He married, secondly, Eleanor Agnes Marindin, daughter of Reverend Samuel Marindin, on 29 April 1886.² He died on 21 October 1918 at age 86.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Limerick.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of County Limerick in 1883.² He lived at Ballyscadane, County Limerick, Ireland^G.¹

     Rhoda Mary Whitmore Franks was born on 26 January 1870.² She was the daughter of Thomas John Franks and Clara Kettle.² She married Crewe Armand Hamilton Townsend, son of Horatio Hamilton Townsend and Elizabeth Ware, on 23 August 1906.¹ She died on 10 January 1962 at age 91.¹
     From 23 August 1906, her married name became Townsend.

     Henry Horace Townsend was born on 9 April 1909.¹ He is the son of Crewe Armand Hamilton Townsend and Rhoda Mary Whitmore Franks.² He married Margaret Hodgson, daughter of William Hodgson, on 19 August 1933.¹
