     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.² He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.² He was registered as a Member, Institution of Civil Engineers (M.I.C.E.)¹

     Eleanor Townsend is the daughter of William Uniacke Townsend and Mary Ann Harriet Coote.² She married H. Kenning in 1898.¹
     From 1898, her married name became Kenning.

     Hermann Gundert Harris was born on 26 January 1859.² He was the son of George Anstruther Harris and Emma Rutherfoord.^1,3 He married Alice Uniacke Townsend, daughter of William Uniacke Townsend and Mary Ann Harriet Coote, on 7 March 1895.¹ He died in 1950.¹
     He graduated from London University, London, England^G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)²
