     He gained the rank of Captain in the 17th/21st Lancers.¹

     Captain Alan Joseph Macdonald Richardson was the son of Joseph Richardson.² He married Mary Gwendolen Goschen, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Arthur Alec Goschen and Marjorie Mary Blacker, on 4 April 1941.² He died on 11 December 1963.²
