Maurice O’Connell1 
Maurice O’Connell also went by the nick-name of ‘Old Hunting Cap’.1 He was Deputy Governor of Kerry in 1793.2 He lived in 1824 at Darrynane Abbey, County Kerry, IrelandG.1 He lived at Derrynane, IrelandG.2 In 1825 he educated his nephew Daniel at his own expense and eventually bequeathed him his estate, worth £1,000 p.a.1
