     Arthur John Lucas was born on 31 July 1903.1 He was the son of Francis Granville Lewis Lucas and Mary Frances Bovill.2 He married Margaret Ruth Baxendale, daughter of Colonel Joseph Francis Noel Baxendale and Margaret Mary Helen Heathcote, on 7 August 1930.1 He died on 20 March 1986 at age 82 at Petersfield, Hampshire, England.1,3
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Engineers.1
