     He lived at Rokeby Lodge, Bathford, Somerset, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Frederick Heriot Heriot-Maitland-Dougall was born on 17 January 1854.¹ He was the son of Vice-Admiral William Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Elizabeth Kinnear Dougall.² He married Elizabeth Hopkins, daughter of John D. Hopkins, on 5 April 1880.¹ He died on 21 October 1916 at age 62.¹

     John D. Hopkins lived at Savannah, Georgia, U.S.A.^G.¹

     Elizabeth Hopkins was the daughter of John D. Hopkins.² She married Frederick Heriot Heriot-Maitland-Dougall, son of Vice-Admiral William Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Elizabeth Kinnear Dougall, on 5 April 1880.¹ She died on 29 December 1904.¹
     From 5 April 1880, her married name became Heriot-Maitland-Dougall.¹

     William Heriot-Maitland-Dougall was born on 19 January 1884.¹ He was the son of Frederick Heriot Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Elizabeth Hopkins.² He died on 31 May 1885 at age 1.¹

     Edith Heriot-Maitland-Dougall was born on 16 May 1882.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick Heriot Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Elizabeth Hopkins.² She married, firstly, Stephen Phipps in November 1906.¹ She and Stephen Phipps were divorced in 1910.¹ She married, secondly, George Greenwood Share in April 1921.¹ She died on 26 August 1969 at age 87, without issue.¹
     From November 1906, her married name became Phipps. From April 1921, her married name became Share.¹

     Stephen Phipps married Edith Heriot-Maitland-Dougall, daughter of Frederick Heriot Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Elizabeth Hopkins, in November 1906.¹ He and Edith Heriot-Maitland-Dougall were divorced in 1910.¹

     Bessie Heriot-Maitland-Dougall was born on 2 February 1881.¹ She was the daughter of Frederick Heriot Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Elizabeth Hopkins.² She died on 17 November 1881.¹

     James St. Leger Heriot-Maitland-Dougall was born on 17 January 1867.¹ He was the son of Vice-Admiral William Heriot-Maitland-Dougall and Elizabeth Kinnear Dougall.² He married Winifred McKinstry Watson, daughter of Alfred Marchmont Watson, on 29 March 1894.¹ He died on 11 May 1940 at age 73.¹
