     Sir Edward Hay Drummond-Hay was born on 4 March 1815.2 He was the son of Edward William Auriol Drummond-Hay and Louisa Margaret Thomson.2 He married, firstly, Sarah Laura Livingston, daughter of Lt.-Col. James Livingston, on 1 September 1838.2 He married Alice Watts, daughter of Edward Watts, on 27 January 1869.1 He died on 24 January 1884 at age 68.1
     He was Colonial Governor between 1839 and 1862.2 He lived at South Hill, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, EnglandG.2
