     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Richmond.¹ He held the office of Gentleman Usher to King Charles II.¹

     James Darcy was baptised on 30 November 1617.^1,2 He was the son of Conyers Darcy, 7th Lord Darcy de Knayth and Dorothy Belasyse.¹ He married Isabel Wyvill, daughter of Sir Marmaduke Wyvill, 2nd Bt. and Isabell Gascoigne, before 1650.^1,2 He died from 13 October 1673 to 5 February 1673/74.² His will was proven (by probate) on 5 February 1673/74.²
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire between 1660 and 1666.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Richmond in April 1660.² He was Master of the Royal Stud between June 1661 and 1668.² He lived at Sedbury Park, Richmond, Yorkshire, England^G.¹ His last will was dated 13 October 1673.²

     Isabel Wyvill is the daughter of Sir Marmaduke Wyvill, 2nd Bt. and Isabell Gascoigne.¹ She married James Darcy, son of Conyers Darcy, 7th Lord Darcy de Knayth and Dorothy Belasyse, before 1650.^1,2
     Her married name became Darcy.¹

     James Darcy, 1st Baron Darcy of Navan was born circa 1650.¹ He was the son of James Darcy and Isabel Wyvill.¹ He married, firstly, Bethia Payler, daughter of George Payler.¹ He married, secondly, Anne Stawell, daughter of Ralph Stawell, 1st Baron Stawell of Somerton.¹ He and Mary Hicks obtained a marriage license on 19 October 1693.¹ He married, fourthly, Margaret Garth on 6 April 1725.¹ He died on 19 July 1731, without male issue.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Richmond between 1698 and 1701.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Richmond between 1702 and 1705.¹ He was created 1st Baron Darcy of Navan, co. Meath [Ireland] on 13 September 1721, with a special remainder to male heirs of his daughter, Mary.¹

     Bethia Payler was the daughter of George Payler.¹ She married James Darcy, 1st Baron Darcy of Navan, son of James Darcy and Isabel Wyvill.¹ She died on 19 November 1671.¹
     Her married name became Darcy.¹

     George Payler lived at Nun Monkton, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     Hon. Mary Darcy was the daughter of James Darcy, 1st Baron Darcy of Navan and Bethia Payler.¹ She married William Jessop.¹ She died on 17 June 1737.¹
     Her married name became Jessop.¹

     William Jessop married Hon. Mary Darcy, daughter of James Darcy, 1st Baron Darcy of Navan and Bethia Payler.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Aldborough.¹ He lived at Broomhall, Yorkshire, England^G.¹

     James Darcy, 2nd Baron Darcy of Navan was the son of William Jessop and Hon. Mary Darcy.¹ He died on 15 June 1733, unmarried.¹
     He was given the name of James Jessop at birth.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Darcy of Navan, co. Meath [I., 1721] on 19 July 1731.¹ On his death, his barony became extinct.¹

     Barbara Jessop is the daughter of William Jessop and Hon. Mary Darcy.¹ She married Andrew Wilkinson.¹
     Her married name became Wilkinson.¹
