     John Patrick Somers Cocks, 8th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham was born on 30 April 1907.¹ He was the son of Arthur Percy Somers Cocks, 7th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham and Benita Sabin.² He married, firstly, Barbara Marianne Southall, daughter of Charles Henry Southall, on 15 August 1935.¹ He married, secondly, Dora Helen Mountfort, daughter of John Mountfort, on 28 July 1961.¹ He died on 15 February 1995 at age 87 at John Radecliffe Hospital, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.^1,3
     He graduated from Royal College of Music, London, England^G, with a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.)¹ He was Director of Music in 1949 at Epsom College, Epsom, Surrey, England^G.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Cocks, of Evesham, co. Worcester [G.B., 1772] on 8 February 1953.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, co. Worcester [G.B., 1784] on 8 February 1953.¹ He was Professor of Theory and Composition between 1967 and 1977 at Royal College of Music, London, England^G.¹

     Charles Henry Southall lived at Norwich, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Barbara Marianne Southall was the daughter of Charles Henry Southall.² She married John Patrick Somers Cocks, 8th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, son of Arthur Percy Somers Cocks, 7th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham and Benita Sabin, on 15 August 1935.¹ She died on 11 September 1959.¹
     From 15 August 1935, her married name became Somers Cocks.¹

     Hon. Dorothy Helen Somers Cocks was the daughter of Arthur Percy Somers Cocks, 7th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham and Benita Sabin.² She died on 25 May 1963, unmarried.¹

     Hon. Helen Judith Somers Cocks is the daughter of Arthur Percy Somers Cocks, 7th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham and Benita Sabin.² She married, firstly, T. Everett Malen, son of John S. Malen, on 20 May 1949.¹ She married, secondly, Earl G. Henry, son of George Henry, on 27 September 1965.¹
     From 20 May 1949, her married name became Malen. From 27 September 1965, her married name became Henry.¹

     John S. Malen lived at Gloucester, Massachusetts, U.S.A.^G.¹

     T. Everett Malen was the son of John S. Malen.² He married Hon. Helen Judith Somers Cocks, daughter of Arthur Percy Somers Cocks, 7th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham and Benita Sabin, on 20 May 1949.¹ He died on 1 July 1961.¹

     Frances Rhoda Cocks was the daughter of Arthur Herbert Cocks and Anna Marion Jessie Eckford.² She married, firstly, Edward Wallace Evans on 13 November 1872.¹ She married, secondly, Frederic de Burgh Newington on 24 February 1903.¹ She died on 18 February 1931.¹
     From 13 November 1872, her married name became Evans. From 24 February 1903, her married name became Newington.¹

     Edward Wallace Evans married Frances Rhoda Cocks, daughter of Arthur Herbert Cocks and Anna Marion Jessie Eckford, on 13 November 1872.¹ He died on 28 December 1901.¹
