     Hugh Minchin was the son of Charles Minchin and Elizabeth Massy.² He married Catherine Dawson in 1785.¹ He died before 1805.¹ His will was proven (by probate) in 1805.¹

     Humphrey Charles Minchin was born on 9 November 1750.¹ He was the son of Charles Minchin and Elizabeth Massy.² He married, firstly, Frances Catherine Sirr, daughter of Major Joseph Sirr, on 14 January 1775.¹ He married, secondly, Arabella Ashworth in 1812.² He died on 15 June 1830 at age 79.²
     He lived at Roebuck Lodge, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Dublin.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Dublin Castle in 1795.¹

     Major Joseph Sirr was Town Major of Dublin between 1762 and 1767.¹

     Frances Catherine Sirr is the daughter of Major Joseph Sirr.² She married Humphrey Charles Minchin, son of Charles Minchin and Elizabeth Massy, on 14 January 1775.¹
     From 14 January 1775, her married name became Minchin.
