     Colonel William Cyril Minchin was born in 1856.1 He was the son of James White Minchin and Adelaide Maria Dundas.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Ballard, daughter of James Broughton Ballard.1 He married, secondly, Beryl Fothergill, daughter of Charles George Fothergill and Lucy Emma Barnes, in 1915 at Kensington, London, England.1,3 He died on 9 March 1924, without issue.1
     He was Colonel.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1917.1
