     Rt. Rev. James Colquhoun Campbell was born on 27 December 1813 at Dumbarton, Dunbartonshire, ScotlandG.2 He was the son of John Campbell, 4th of Stonefield and Wilhelmina Colquhoun.2 He married Blanche Bruce, daughter of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce and Sarah Austin, on 13 May 1840.1
     He held the office of Bishop of Bangor between 1859 and 1890.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1
