He married, firstly, Deborah Leadbeater, daughter of William Leadbeater and Mary Shackleton, in 1812 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.^1,2 He married, secondly, Eleanor Bell, daughter of William Bell, on 27 September 1831.¹ He died on 29 March 1856 at age 71.¹
     He lived at Moone, County Kildare, Ireland.¹ He lived at Fuller’s Court, County Kildare, Ireland.¹

     Eleanor Bell was born on 26 October 1806. She was the daughter of William Bell.¹ She married Ebenezer Shackleton, son of Abraham Shackleton and Lydia Mellor, on 27 September 1831.¹ She died on 12 December 1875 at age 69 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹
     From 27 September 1831, her married name became Shackleton. Eleanor shows up in the death index as being listed in Dublin, South.

     Martha Piggott is the daughter of Thomas Piggott.¹ She married Christopher Ussher, son of Sir William Ussher and Elizabeth Parsons, circa 1674.¹

     Richard Ebenezer Shackleton was born on 24 April 1836 at Moone, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Ebenezer Shackleton and Eleanor Bell.¹ He married Elizabeth Anne Holland, daughter of Major Henry Holland and Mary Bell, on 12 November 1862.¹ He died on 22 February 1900 at age 63 at County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹
     His death is listed in the index to deaths of Ireland as showing up in the Superintendant’s Registrar District of Athy.

     Elizabeth Anne Holland was born in 1830 at Bombay, India.² She was the daughter of Major Henry Holland and Mary Bell.¹ She married Richard Ebenezer Shackleton, son of Ebenezer Shackleton and Eleanor Bell, on 12 November 1862.¹ She died in 1913.²
     From 12 November 1862, her married name became Shackleton.

     Patrick Dudley Shackleton was born on 29 June 1837 at Moone, County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹ He was the son of Ebenezer Shackleton and Eleanor Bell. He married Rebecca Jameson, daughter of Thomas Jameson, on 22 October 1867.¹ He died on 25 February 1901 at age 63 at County Kildare, Ireland^G.¹
     He is listed in the index of deaths as having been recorded in Carlow. He lived at Sunnyside, Carlow, County Carlow, Ireland.¹

     Rebecca Jameson was born on 27 October 1845. She was the daughter of Thomas Jameson.¹ She married Patrick Dudley Shackleton, son of Ebenezer Shackleton and Eleanor Bell, on 22 October 1867.¹ She died on 5 June 1891 at age 45.¹
     From 22 October 1867, her married name became Shackleton.
