John Fortescue-Aland, 1st Baron Fortescue of Credan1 
He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.) in 1714.2 He held the office of Solicitor-General to the Prince of Wales from 1714 to 1715.2 He held the office of Solicitor-General between 1715 and 1717.2 He held the office of Baron of hte Exchequer from 1717 to 1718.2 He held the office of Justice of the King’s Bench between 1718 and 1727.2 He held the office of Justice of the Court of Common Pleas in 1729.2 He lived at Stapleford Abbots, Essex, England.2 He gained the title of 1st Baron Fortescue of Credan, co. Waterford on 15 August 1746.
