     From 29 June 1974, her married name became Smith. From 1988, her married name became McDonald.¹

     Howard George Smith married Emily Ann Staples, daughter of Sir Gerald James Arland Staples, 16th Bt. and Henrietta Owen Ussher, on 29 June 1974.^1,3 He and Emily Ann Staples were divorced in 1984.¹

     Juliet Clare Smith was born on 28 August 1980.¹ She is the daughter of Howard George Smith and Emily Ann Staples.²

     Jacqueline Mary Staples was born on 8 September 1954.¹ She is the daughter of Sir Gerald James Arland Staples, 16th Bt. and Henrietta Owen Ussher.² She married Timothy Pullen in 1985.¹
     From 1985, her married name became Pullen. She lived in 2003 at 19 Willowdale Close, Petersfield, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     Timothy Pullen married Jacqueline Mary Staples, daughter of Sir Gerald James Arland Staples, 16th Bt. and Henrietta Owen Ussher, in 1985.¹

     Sir Richard Molesworth Staples, 17th Bt. was born on 11 June 1914.¹ He was the son of Thomas Staples and Mary Ussher Greer.² He married Marjorie Charlotte Jefcoate in 1954.¹ He died on 15 November 2013 at age 99.³
     He was educated at St. Andrew’s College, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War, in Burma.¹ He was with the Royal Air Force between 1940 and 1952.¹ He was with the Royal New Zealand Air Force between 1952 and 1959.¹ He succeeded as the 17th Baronet Staples, of Lissan, co. Tyrone and Faghanvale, co. Londonderry [I., 1628] in 1999.² His baronetcy became extinct on his death.

     Grace Staples was born on 15 July 1906.¹ She was the daughter of Thomas Staples and Mary Ussher Greer.² She married Horace Roland Rambaut Dowd, son of Charles William Dowd, on 22 April 1932.¹ She died on 23 June 1997 at age 90.¹
     From 22 April 1932, her married name became Dowd.

     Charles William Dowd lived at Roscrea, County Tipperary, Ireland^G.¹

     Horace Roland Rambaut Dowd was the son of Charles William Dowd.² He married Grace Staples, daughter of Thomas Staples and Mary Ussher Greer, on 22 April 1932.¹ He died in 1975.¹

     Peter Dowd was born on 16 December 1935.¹ He is the son of Horace Roland Rambaut Dowd and Grace Staples.² He married Constance Evelyn Honnibrook, daughter of James Honnibrook, on 22 April 1961.¹
     He lived in 2003 at The Manse, East Main Street, Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland^G.¹
