     Lt.-Col. Denys Edward Prideaux-Brune was born on 18 June 1891.2 He was the son of Colonel Charles Robert Prideaux-Brune and Hon. Katharine Cecilia Knatchbull-Hugessen.2 He married Cecily Alice Grey Grey-Egerton, daughter of Sir Philip Henry Brian Grey-Egerton, 12th Bt. and Mary Carolyn Campbell Cuyler, on 30 July 1918.1,2 He died on 4 June 1952 at age 60.2
     He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) and bar.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.1
