     Antony Hastings was born circa 1692.¹ He was the son of Anthony Hastings and Caroletta Churchill.¹ He died in 1700.¹

     Sir Francis Hastings was born circa 1545.¹ He was the son of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole.¹ He married, firstly, Maud Longford, daughter of Sir Ralph Longford, in 1567.² He married, secondly, Mary Watkins, daughter of Richard Watkins and Mary Coker, after 1597.³ He died in September 1610, without issue.^1,3 He was buried at South Cadbury, Somerset, England^G.³

     Walter Hastings was born in 1544 at Braunston, Leicestershire, England^G.² He was the son of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole.¹ He married Joyce Roper, daughter of Christopher Roper and Elizabeth Blore, on 22 May 1574 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Covent Garden, London, England^G.^1,2 He died in August 1616 at Muxloe, Leicestershire, England^G.^1,2

     Joyce Roper was born in 1548.² She was the daughter of Christopher Roper and Elizabeth Blore.² She married Walter Hastings, son of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole, on 22 May 1574 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Covent Garden, London, England^G.^1,2 She died in 1619 at Leicester, Leicestershire, England^G.² She was also reported to have died in 1616.¹
     From 22 May 1574, her married name became Hastings.¹

     Sir Walter Hastings was born in 1607.¹ He was the son of Sir Henry Hastings and Dorothy Huddleston.¹ He died before 1682 at Plumtree, Nottinghamshire, England^G.¹
     He held the office of Governor of the Isle of Portland, Dorset.¹

     Dorothy Huddleston married Sir Henry Hastings, son of Walter Hastings and Joyce Roper, circa 1606 at Sawston, Cambridgeshire, England^G.^1,2 She died before 1640.²
     From circa 1606, her married name became Hastings.¹

     Lady Mary Hastings was the daughter of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole.¹ She died, unmarried.¹
     Ivan the Terrible of Russia sent an envoy for her hand in marriage, but she preferred spinsterhood.¹
     Cockayne records that “this lady is said to have been ‘affected in marriage by the Czar of Russia, her beauty being so great.²‘ “

     Alexander Thistlethwayte was the son of Robert Thistlethwayte and Selina Frederick.² He married Eliza Mary Bettesworth, daughter of Joseph Bettesworth, in 1801.^1,2 He died in 1801.²

     Bryan Wallace is the son of Edgar Wallace.² He married Margaret Lane, daughter of Henry George Lane, in 1934.¹ He and Margaret Lane were divorced in 1939.²
