     Joan Gertrude Whitehead was born on 20 March 1894.¹ She was the daughter of Sir George Hugh Whitehead, 2nd Bt. and Gertrude Grace Ashcroft.² She died on 15 October 1971 at age 77.¹

     Sylvia Mercy Ascroft Whitehead was the daughter of Sir George Hugh Whitehead, 2nd Bt. and Gertrude Grace Ashcroft.² She married Reverend James Walter Herbert Nankivell, son of Ernest James Patch Nankivell, on 17 July 1933.¹ She died on 16 February 1989.¹
     From 17 July 1933, her married name became Nankivell.

     Reverend James Walter Herbert Nankivell was the son of Ernest James Patch Nankivell.² He married Sylvia Mercy Ascroft Whitehead, daughter of Sir George Hugh Whitehead, 2nd Bt. and Gertrude Grace Ashcroft, on 17 July 1933.¹ He died on 4 November 1953.¹
     He was an author.¹ He graduated with a Bachelor of Letters (B.Litt.)¹

     Hensley Robert George Nankivell was born on 5 May 1934.¹ He was the son of Reverend James Walter Herbert Nankivell and Sylvia Mercy Ascroft Whitehead.² He died on 31 January 1987 at age 52.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Rowland Edward Whitehead, 3rd Bt. was born on 1 September 1863.² He was the son of Sir James Whitehead, 1st Bt. and Mercy Matilda Hinds.² He married Ethel Mary Leonie Rathbone, daughter of Philip Henry Rathbone, on 18 May 1893.² He died on 9 October 1942 at age 79.²
     He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, England^G.² He graduated from University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Member of the Berkshire County Council.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Vounteerl Battalion, City of London Regiment.² He was appointed King’s Counsel (K.C.)² He held the office of Lieutenant of the City of London.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire.² He held the office of Bencher of Lincoln’s Inn.² He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1906 and 1909, to the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of the Home Department.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for South-East Essex between 1906 and 1910.² He held the office of Parliamentary Private Secretary between 1909 and 1910, to theAttorney-General.² He was Governor at Appleby Grammar School, Appleby, Westmorland, England^G.² He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Whitehead, of Catford, Kent [U.K., 1889] on 21 May 1931.²

     Gilbert Hinds Whitehead was born on 26 May 1866.¹ He was the son of Sir James Whitehead, 1st Bt. and Mercy Matilda Hinds.² He married Helena Emmeline Langford, daughter of Henry A. Langford, on 10 April 1901.¹ He died on 18 December 1908 at age 42.¹

     Henry A. Langford lived at Plymouth, Devon, England^G.¹

     Helena Emmeline Langford was the daughter of Henry A. Langford.² She married Gilbert Hinds Whitehead, son of Sir James Whitehead, 1st Bt. and Mercy Matilda Hinds, on 10 April 1901.¹ She died in 1949.¹
     From 10 April 1901, her married name became Whitehead.
