     Herbert Arthur Dyke Acland was born on 9 October 1886.¹ He was the son of Francis Edward Dyke Acland and Marion Sarah Macrorie.¹ He married Maud Kathleen Branson, daughter of Colonel George Ernest Branson, on 22 September 1914.¹ He died on 25 May 1968 at age 81.¹
