     Sir Charles Munro of Foulis, 9th Bt. was born on 20 May 1794.¹ He was the son of George Munro and Margaret Montgomery.² He married, firstly, Amelia Browne, daughter of Frederick Browne, on 20 June 1817.¹ He married, secondly, Harriette Midgley, daughter of Robert Midgley, on 14 January 1853.¹ He died on 12 July 1886 at age 92.¹
     He fought in the Peninsular Wars in 1811.¹ He was commander of the a division of the Colombian Army of independence under Simon Bolivar against Spaniards in South America.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Munro, of Foulis, Ross [N.S., 1634] on 2 May 1848.¹

     John Munro was the son of George Munro and Margaret Montgomery.² He died in 1847, unmarried.¹

     Mary Munro was the daughter of George Munro and Margaret Montgomery.² She married, firstly, Owen Lindsey.¹ She married, secondly, Alexander Simpson.¹ She died on 1 November 1863.¹
