He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, EnglandG.2 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of officer between 1950 and 1951 in the 3rd Carabiniers (Prince of Wales’s Dragoon Guards.)2 He graduated from Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, EnglandG, with a MRAC Diploma.2 He was a farmer between 1954 and 1964.2 He was assistant surveyor, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food between 1966 and 1973.2 He was a surveyor between 1973 and 1974 at Cockermouth, Cumbria, England.2 He was a senior lands officer, CEGB (SE Region) between 1974 and 1978.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (F.R.I.C.S.)2 He was a regional surveyor and valuer CEGB (SE Region) between 1978 and 1988.2 He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Honywood, of Evington, co. Kent [E., 1660] on 10 August 1982.2 He was examiner agriculture Income Society Estate and Wayleaves Officers between 1989 and 1995.2 He lived in 2003 at Greenway Forstal Farmhouse, Hollingbourne, Kent, EnglandG.2
