     Alan Richard Bentley is the son of John Baliol Bentley and Anne Sylvia Fenella Haldane.²

     Julia Anne Bentley is the daughter of John Baliol Bentley and Anne Sylvia Fenella Haldane.²

     Jocelyn Leslie Bentley is the son of John Baliol Bentley and Anne Sylvia Fenella Haldane.²

     James Oswald Haldane was born on 27 May 1879.¹ He was the son of Robert Camperdown Haldane and Emily Anderson.² He died on 8 August 1916 at age 37, killed in action.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Suffolk Regiment (Cambridge University Rifles Volunteers.)¹ He fought in the Boer War.¹ He was with the Uganda Civil Service.¹ He gained the rank of offcier in the Rifle Brigade.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹

     Elizabeth Joanna Haldane was the daughter of Robert Haldane and Jane Makgill.² She died on 1 May 1909, unmarried.¹

     Mary Abercromby Haldane was the daughter of Robert Haldane and Jane Makgill.² She married John Otto Macqueen on 18 April 1866.¹ She died on 5 May 1927.¹
     From 18 April 1866, her married name became Macqueen.

     John Otto Macqueen married Mary Abercromby Haldane, daughter of Robert Haldane and Jane Makgill, on 18 April 1866.¹ He died in 1907.¹
     He was a practising Solicitor before the Supreme Court [Scotland].¹

     Margaret Isabella Haldane was born on 5 January 1847.² She was the daughter of Robert Haldane and Jane Makgill.³ She married Sir John Makgill, 10th Bt., son of George Makgill and Harriet Strettell, on 18 April 1866.¹ She died on 18 March 1920 at age 73.¹ She was buried at Waikaraka Cemetery, Onehunga, Auckland, New Zealand.²
     From 18 April 1866, her married name became Makgill.
