Lieutenant Hon. Frederic Sydney Trench1

Lieutenant Hon. Frederic Sydney Trench was born on 9 December 1894 at Woodlawn, Kilconnell, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He was the son of Frederic Oliver Trench, 3rd Baron Ashtown and Violet Grace Cosby.1 He was baptised on 20 January 1895 at Woodlawn, Kilconnell, County Galway, IrelandG.1 He died on 16 November 1916 at age 21, from wounds received in action the previous day.3
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King’s Royal Rifle Corps.3 He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.3 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1916, where he was wounded three times.4
