     John de Courcy, 11th Lord Courcy of Kinsale was the son of Edmond ‘Og’ de Courcy and Sheila O’Hurley.² He married, firstly, Catherine Cogan, daughter of William Cogan.¹ He married, secondly, Mary O’Crawley, daughter of Cormac O’Crawley.² He died on 25 July 1628.¹
     He succeeded as the 11th Lord Courcy of Kinsale [I., c. 1340] in August 1599.¹ On 13 December 1620 he recovered through royal favour most of the estates alienated by his predecessor.¹

     Catherine Cogan was the daughter of William Cogan.¹ She married John de Courcy, 11th Lord Courcy of Kinsale, son of Edmond ‘Og’ de Courcy and Sheila O’Hurley.¹ She died, without issue.¹

     Gerald de Courcy, 12th Lord Kingsale was the son of John de Courcy, 11th Lord Courcy of Kinsale and Catherine Cogan.² He married Helen FitzGerald, daughter of Sir John FitzGerald and Ellen FitzGibbon.¹ He died circa 1642, without male issue.¹
     He held the office of Gentleman of the Privy Chamber to King Charles I in 1627.¹ He succeeded as the 12th Lord Courcy of Kinsale [I., c. 1340] on 25 July 1628, the usuage of the title Lord Kingsale became common.¹

     Helen FitzGerald is the daughter of Sir John FitzGerald and Ellen FitzGibbon.¹ She married Gerald de Courcy, 12th Lord Kingsale, son of John de Courcy, 11th Lord Courcy of Kinsale and Catherine Cogan.¹
