James Duthac Carnegie was born on 26 September 1910.¹ He was the son of Charles Noel Carnegie, 10th Earl of Southesk and Ethel Mary Elizabeth Bannerman.¹ He married Claudia Katharine Angela Blackburn, daughter of Hon. Robert Francis Leslie Blackburn, Lord Blackburn and Lady Constance Frances Bowes-Lyon, on 26 February 1935.¹ He died on 14 January 1996 at age 85.¹
     Major Hon. James Duthac Carnegie usually went by his middle name of Duthac.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England^G, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 4th/5th Battalion, The Black Watch.¹ He was awarded the Territorial Decoration (T.D.) in 1945.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire in 1954.¹ He lived at Balloch, Alyth, Perthshire, Scotland^G.²

     Violet Mabel Fraser is the daughter of Philip Affleck Fraser.¹ She married Hon. Robert Francis Carnegie, son of James Carnegie, 9th Earl of Southesk and Lady Susan Catherine Mary Murray, on 26 November 1913.¹
     From 26 November 1913, her married name became Carnegie.¹

     Stella Therese Cleveland is the daughter of James John Cleveland.¹ She married, firstly, F/Sgt. James Peter Mosley Leigh, son of Oswald Edward Stanley Mosley Leigh and Mary Eleanor Olive Stirling-Cookson, before 1944.¹ She married, secondly, David James Carnegie, son of Hon. Robert Francis Carnegie and Violet Mabel Fraser, on 29 April 1949.¹
     Stella Therese Cleveland also went by the nick-name of Wendy.¹ From before 1949, her married name became Leigh.¹ From 29 April 1949, her married name became Carnegie.¹

     James John Cleveland lived at Blackheath, Kent, England^G.¹

     F/Sgt. James Peter Mosley Leigh was born in 1917.² He was the son of Oswald Edward Stanley Mosley Leigh and Mary Eleanor Olive Stirling-Cookson.^2,3 He married Stella Therese Cleveland, daughter of James John Cleveland, before 1944.¹ He died on 21 July 1944, killed in action over enemy territory.²
     He gained the rank of Flight Sergeant in the Royal Air Force.¹ He fought in the Second World War.²

     Robert Murray Carnegie was born on 3 July 1917.¹ He was the son of Hon. Robert Francis Carnegie and Violet Mabel Fraser.¹ He married Pauline Frances Farmer, daughter of Captain Francis Farmer, on 2 February 1949.¹ He died on 18 December 1954 at age 37, from injuries recieved in an aeroplane accident.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the King’s African Rifles.¹ He gained the rank of officer in the East African Army Serivce Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹

     Pauline Frances Farmer was the daughter of Captain Francis Farmer.¹ She married Robert Murray Carnegie, son of Hon. Robert Francis Carnegie and Violet Mabel Fraser, on 2 February 1949.¹ She died on 9 December 1954.¹
     From 2 February 1949, her married name became Carnegie.¹

     Captain Francis Farmer lived at Fairseat, Kent, England^G.¹

     Ian Francis Carnegie was born on 30 October 1949.¹ He is the son of Robert Murray Carnegie and Pauline Frances Farmer.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 45 Church Street, Staines, London, England^G.¹

     Alastair Robert Carnegie was born on 15 July 1951.¹ He is the son of Robert Murray Carnegie and Pauline Frances Farmer.¹ He married Joanna Enderby-Smith, daughter of Gerry Enderby-Smith, in 1976.¹
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at 13 Hawley Street, Trawden, Colne, Lancashire, England^G.¹
