Fife [N.S., 1627] on 4 December 1670.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Viscount of Kynnaird [S., 1660] on 4 December 1670.1 On 25 January 1684 he was served heir to his father.1 His baronetcy became dormant and his viscountancy became extinct.1

John Richard West, 4th Earl De La Warr was born on 28 July 1758.1 He was the son of Lt.-Gen. John West, 2nd Earl De La Warr and Mary Wynyard.1 He married Catherine Lyell, daughter of Henry Lyell and Catherine Allestrec, on 2 April 1783.1 He died on 28 July 1795 at age 37.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 4th Earl De La Warr [G.B., 1761] in January 1783.1 He succeeded as the 4th Viscount Cantelupe [G.B., 1761] in January 1783.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baron Delaware [E., 1570] in January 1783.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 2nd Foot Guards.1
