Sir John Molesworth, 5th Bt.1 
Sir John Molesworth, 5th Bt. was born on 12 March 1729.1 He was the son of Sir John Molesworth, 4th Bt. and Barbara Morrice.1 He was baptised on 9 April 1730 at Egloshale, Cornwall, EnglandG.3 He married, firstly, Frances Smyth, daughter of James Smyth, on 28 September 1755.1 He married, secondly, Barbara St. Aubyn, daughter of Sir John St. Aubyn, 3rd Bt. and Catharine Morice, on 22 July 1762.1 He died on 20 October 1775 at age 46.1 He was buried on 26 October 1775 at Egloshale, Cornwall, EnglandG.3
He gained the rank of Colonel in the Cornwall Militia.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cornwall between 1765 and 1775.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Molesworth, of Pencarrow, Cornwall [E., 1689] on 4 April 1766.1
