Hon. George Shirley was born on 23 October 1705.1 He was the son of Robert Shirley, 1st Earl Ferrers and Selina Finch.2 He married Mary Sturt, daughter of Humphrey Sturt, on 28 December 1749.1 He died on 22 October 1787 at age 81.1
