     From 21 July 1951, her married name became Shirley.¹ After her marriage, Annabel Mary Carr was styled as Countess Ferrers on 11 October 1954.

     Robert William Saswalo Shirley, 14th Earl Ferrers was born on 29 December 1952.¹ He is the son of Robert Washington Shirley, 13th Earl Ferrers and Annabel Mary Carr.² He married Susannah Mary Sheepshanks, daughter of Charles Edward William Sheepshanks and Mary Scholefield Nickson, on 21 June 1980.¹
