     Sir Henry Mervyn was born in 1583 at Rogate, Sussex, England.2 He was the son of Edmund Mervyn and Anna Jephson.2 He married Lady Christian Tuchet, daughter of George Tuchet, 1st Earl of Castlehaven and Lucy Mervyn. He died in 1646.2
     He lived at Petersfield, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Admiral of the Westwards in 1618.2 He held the office of Admiral of the Narrow Seas between 1619 and 1623.2

     Phoebe Hume was the daughter of George Hume, 1st Bt. and Mary Maynard.1,2 She married, firstly, Henry Blennerhassett, son of Sir Leonard Blennerhassett and Deborah Mervyn, in 1664.1 She married, secondly, Christopher Irvine in 1704.1 She died in 1710.1
     From 1664, her married name became Blennerhassett.1 From 1704, her married name became Irvine.1

Harriet Somerville, on 23 September 1846.1 He died on 18 September 1892 at age 76.2
