     Reverend Thomas Frere Bowerbank was born in 1780.² He was the son of Reverend Edward Bowerbank.³ He married Catherine Jane Bland, daughter of Ensign John Bland and Elizabeth Birch, in a childless marriage.¹ He died on 24 December 1856.^1,2
     He graduated from Queen’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1802 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)³ He graduated from Queen’s College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1805 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)³ He was the Vicar in 1811 of Chiswick, London, England^G.¹

     Sarah Annie Bland was the daughter of Ensign John Bland and Elizabeth Birch.¹ She died in 1823, unmarried.¹

     Georgina Elizabeth Bland was the daughter of Ensign John Bland and Elizabeth Birch.¹ She married James ffranck Rolleston, son of Charles Rolleston and Helena Maria Maunsell, on 22 May 1828.¹
     From 22 May 1828, her married name became Rolleston.¹
