     Captain Henry Archibald Forster Bland was born on 17 September 1907.¹ He was the son of Francis Christopher Cecil Bland and Mary Green Uprichard.¹ He married, firstly, Joan Helen Creagh, daughter of Major John Creagh and Mona Quick, on 23 February 1938.¹ He married, secondly, Joyce Mary Davies, daughter of Sydney Hughes Davies, on 19 May 1962.¹ He died on 14 June 1979 at age 71 at Leitrim, County Leitrim, Ireland.²
     He was educated at Sedbergh School, Sedbergh, Cumbria, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Headquarters, East African Command.¹ As of 1976, Captain Henry Archibald Forster Bland lived at Drimina, Rossinver, County Leitrim, Ireland^G.¹

     Joan Helen Creagh was the daughter of Major John Creagh and Mona Quick.^1,2 She married Captain Henry Archibald Forster Bland, son of Francis Christopher Cecil Bland and Mary Green Uprichard, on 23 February 1938.¹ She died on 14 November 1957.¹
     From 23 February 1938, her married name became Bland.¹

     Major John Creagh was born on 26 November 1866.² He was the son of Arthur Gethin Creagh and Henrietta Cole Bowen.² He married Mona Quick, daughter of Major Philip Quick, on 22 November 1906.²
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1901, with the Lincolnshire Regiment.² He gained the rank of Captain and Honorary Major in the North Cork Militia.² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)² He lived at Ardcrasib, Mallow, County Cork, Ireland^G.¹
