Sir Arthur Geoffrey Annesley Harmsworth, 3rd Bt. was born on 29 March 1904 at 3 Marlborough Gate, Bayswater, London, England.1,2 He was the son of Sir Robert Leicester Harmsworth, 1st Bt. and Annie Louisa Scott.1 He died on 23 October 1980 at age 76 at Westminster, London, England, unmarried.1,2
Sir Arthur Geoffrey Annesley Harmsworth, 3rd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Geoffrey.1 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He was a war correspondent between 1939 and 1940.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He was a director of the Daily Mail and General Trust.1 He was chairman of Harmsworth Press, West Country Publications and Western Morning News.1 He was appointed Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)1
He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Harmsworth, of Moray Lodge, Kensington [U.K., 1918] on 1 March 1962.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1
