     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Army Service Corps.¹ He fought in the Crimean War, on the staff of Lord Raglan.¹ He fought in the Battle of Alma.¹

     Louisa Jane Hutchinson was the daughter of Francis C. Hutchinson.¹ She married Colonel Henry Blakeney, son of John Henry Blakeney and Charlotte Mahon, on 27 July 1865.¹ She died on 14 December 1872.¹
     From 27 July 1865, her married name became Blakeney.¹

     Francis C. Hutchinson graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)¹ He lived at Carlisle, Cumbria, England^G.¹
