Sir Charles John Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 5th Bt. was born on 21 March 1865.1 He was the son of Sir John Charles Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 3rd Bt. and Hon. Eliza Napier.2 He married Rose Hickman, daughter of Captain W. T. Hickman, on 17 April 1906.1 He died on 22 March 1952 at age 87.1
He was with the Foreign Office between 1887 and 1895.1 He was with the Privy Counsel Office between 1895 and 1928.1 He was appointed Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1924.1 He was appointed Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1928.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Dalrymple-Hay, of Park Place, co. Wigtown [G.B., 1798] on 5 February 1929.1
