     Ellen Harriet Barton was born on 28 May 1844.¹ She was the daughter of Baptist Johnston Barton and Maria MacLaughlin.¹ She married Reverend Thomas Thompson Gray, son of Robert St. George Gray and Julia Archer, on 4 August 1864.¹ She died on 14 February 1880 at age 35.¹
     From 4 August 1864, her married name became Gray.¹

     Reverend Thomas Thompson Gray was born on 25 January 1833.² He was the son of Robert St. George Gray and Julia Archer.² He married Ellen Harriet Barton, daughter of Baptist Johnston Barton and Maria MacLaughlin, on 4 August 1864.¹ He died on 5 December 1924 at age 91.¹
     He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1859 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He graduated with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was a Fellow in 1862 at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.² He was a Senior Fellow and Vice-Provost in 1898 of Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.¹ He was Vice-Provost between 1916 and 1924 at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland^G.² He lived at Carn Park, Mount Temple, County Westmeath, Ireland^G.¹
